Happy Father's Day!

As I just twittered (posted on Twitter.com), I could get used to this whole being an actual dad on Father's Day thing. Karin made me an awesome breakfast in bed! And the kids joined in ...

Nate joins in after waking up from a Father's Day nap:

Happy Father's Day to my dad, my father-in-law Arne and all the dads out there!

Hopefully we can get back into blog updates at least every Sunday, maybe more.

Here's a video of Nate crawling. Sorry it is sideways. If anyone knows how to rotate videos in YouTube, please let me know:

And here's Ella, who is now saying "mama" and something that sounds vaguely like "dada" ...

We're Back!

It took a while, but daddy finally found the box containing the camera-computer cord. So we finally are able to share some new pictures!

Amazingly we have been in the new house for nearly three weeks. There is still plenty of unpacking to do, but it already feels like home to us. And Nate (just starting to crawl) and Ella (right behind him) seem to be taking in stride. Here are some recent shots ...

Ella snuggles up with Stampy the elephant. This was just taken tonight:

We're here!

We have successfully moved! Sorry we have been neglecting the blog, we have been so busy getting settled! We have tons of great new pictures, however we have lost the cord to connect the camera to the computer in the move. Argh. We will get that found/replaced soon and upload new Nate and Ella pics for all their adoring fans. N and E are adjusting well to the new house! We love it here, great house and a great neighborhood.
We saw Dr. Nyweide on Friday for the 9 month check up. Nate is currently weighing in at 21 lbs, 3oz. He has not missed one meal. He is up on all fours and "rocking" - I think crawling is days away! Our petite Ella weighs 16 lbs 10oz. Dr. N says she is doing great and growing quite well at her own pace. Hard to believe she was just over 4 lbs when we took her home. Ella loves music and songs...she is constantly clapping, waving and "dancing."

Ella & Nate Turn 9 Months; Plus: Moving Week

Just a quick note to mark Nate and Ella's 9-month birthday today. They are doing great, currently sleeping while Mommy and Daddy continue packing boxes. We signed papers today on the sale of our condo and the purchase of our new house. More updates to come!

Ella & Nate's First Baseball Game

Despite the Seattle Mariners' 5-3 loss to Boston last night, Nate and Ella had a blast during their first trip to Safeco Field. They were accompanied by Mommy and Daddy, in addition to Uncle Kevin, cousin Jess, Aunt Karen and Uncle Ron. The latter three tried to convince the twins to join the Red Sox nation, but no dice (K).

Ella soaks up the sun with Uncle Kevin:

We love Aunt Karen and Uncle Ron, but we won't cheer for the Red Sox! Go Mariners!

Nate takes it all in:

Jessica and Ella contemplate the Mariners' starting rotation:

'Go M's!'

In perhaps the best moment of the night, Ella actually TAUNTS SOME RED SOX FANS!

Mother's Day Wishes To All

Karin has celebrated her first Mother's Day as on official mom today! Unfortunately she is declining to be photographed at the moment, but perhaps she will blog later on the experience. It has been fun for me, too, though it will always be a hard day as well as I miss my own mom a lot! Much love to all the great moms out there.

Here are a few pics of the babies from today ...

Nate: Here I am!
Ella: Grrrrr

Same shot, less perturbed Ella:

Happy Nate (in shorts!)

Happy Ella(in jeans)!

Trip to Oregon

Karin, Nate, Ella and I made a quick visit to Oregon over the weekend to visit Aunt Karen, Uncle Ron and cousin Jess. We had a fun time and the kids did great. Here are a few of the photos we took:
