Nate's newfound crawling ability has definitely been a game-changer! He is already quite quick, so we have to keep an extra eye on him. It will be really interesting when Ella becomes this mobile as well! Ella is now saying 'Dada' more clearly. And they are trying many more types of mashed up solids of late: cottage cheese, fruit, egg yolk, Yo Baby yogurt and other treats.
Here's a shot of the kids right before a Saturday outing to the park with Daddy (Mommy was at a baby shower):

Happy Tuesday
In the news: Ella is getting her first tooth! Nate is continuing to hone his crawling. And Mommy and Daddy are thankful that naps and overnight sleeps have been going better lately. A couple more recent pics:

Happy Father's Day!
As I just twittered (posted on Twitter.com), I could get used to this whole being an actual dad on Father's Day thing. Karin made me an awesome breakfast in bed! And the kids joined in ...

Happy Father's Day to my dad, my father-in-law Arne and all the dads out there!
Hopefully we can get back into blog updates at least every Sunday, maybe more.
Here's a video of Nate crawling. Sorry it is sideways. If anyone knows how to rotate videos in YouTube, please let me know:
And here's Ella, who is now saying "mama" and something that sounds vaguely like "dada" ...

We're Back!
It took a while, but daddy finally found the box containing the camera-computer cord. So we finally are able to share some new pictures!
Amazingly we have been in the new house for nearly three weeks. There is still plenty of unpacking to do, but it already feels like home to us. And Nate (just starting to crawl) and Ella (right behind him) seem to be taking in stride. Here are some recent shots ...

We're here!
We have successfully moved! Sorry we have been neglecting the blog, we have been so busy getting settled! We have tons of great new pictures, however we have lost the cord to connect the camera to the computer in the move. Argh. We will get that found/replaced soon and upload new Nate and Ella pics for all their adoring fans. N and E are adjusting well to the new house! We love it here, great house and a great neighborhood.
We saw Dr. Nyweide on Friday for the 9 month check up. Nate is currently weighing in at 21 lbs, 3oz. He has not missed one meal. He is up on all fours and "rocking" - I think crawling is days away! Our petite Ella weighs 16 lbs 10oz. Dr. N says she is doing great and growing quite well at her own pace. Hard to believe she was just over 4 lbs when we took her home. Ella loves music and songs...she is constantly clapping, waving and "dancing."
