The official six-month portrait

At least as official as we're going to get anyway. Nate and Ella amazingly turned six months old today! Their check-up is tomorrow, so we'll be sure to let you know about their weight, etc.

It actually snowed again in Seattle today, and the babies bundled up and went for a walk with Mommy.

Karin and I continue to feel very blessed. Both babies seems happy and healthy. Please keep up the prayers and good thoughts!

Ella and Nate, Just Shy of Six Months

Just took these today ...

Saturday morning update ...

A barefoot Nate, still finishing off a cold, is doing "Riverdance" in his Jump-a-roo. Ella is happily munching on a toy in the activity gym. And Mommy and Daddy are getting ready for another day of house-hunting (one reason we haven't blogged in a while). The search for more space is officially on! We hope to have this place on the market very soon, and Karin's Uncle Carl (a realtor) is showing us what's out there. Stay tuned, more updates and pictures to come!

Mmmmm, first solid food

Ella and Nate got their first taste of solid food a couple of days ago ... yummy rice cereal. Ella overcame some early hesitation and gobbled up several bites. Nate, well ... he's reserving judgement. Photos and videos below:

Milestones for Nate and Ella

When they say it flies by, they aren't kidding! Nate and Ella are growing up fast. They'll be celebrating their six-month birthday in just a few weeks.

Nate matched Ella on rolling over a while back. Ella is getting her first tooth. They are now sleeping in their own cribs in the nursery, instead of next to Mommy and Daddy in the double bassinett. And tonight, we're planning to give them a taste of their first solid foods (rice cereal). I even had a dream last night that Nate just got up and started walking, so stay tuned ...

Family visits with Nate and Ella

Grandma and Grandpa T. visited this past weekend bearing gifts: A stuffed Gonzaga Bulldog for Nate, and a stuffed Washington State Cougar for Ella:

Uncle Kevin also stopped by and Nate fell asleep on him:

The previous week, Dave's cousin Andrea and her husband Mike stopped by while visiting Seattle from Indiana:
